 How does the Media Product represent a particular social group?

When researching magazines and what kind of magazine i wanted to do, I came across a couple of magazines that gave me ideas and I wanted to appeal to the demographic that I had chosen which were 16 -24 year old that enjoyed rock music and so I had to have that obvious throughout my magazine pages

 I came across the band PVRIS on the cover of the rock magazine,Kerrang with determined stare at the camera,liking the whole aspect of the photo but since my artist was solo, it wouldn't be possible to do the exact same thing as with the mise-en-scene of the skull was relevant to their band, the people with in the rock genre could have varied clothing depending if they did soft rock (Indie Rock) or Heavy Rock (Metal) and so with Tomos, I put him leaning to the side of Soft Rock as I gave him a grey t-shirt and black jacket but with the style of his hair in a quiff, it was more indie that rock, with the appearance of a scraggly beard,it gave him more sense as a rocker, uncaring about his appearance but below his shoulder, he is wearing black jean trousers and black converses. The image appealing to the those of the uncaring rockers who don't think about their appearance.
The dominating red of the colour scheme on the the front cover mimics the use of white and purple on Kerrang's front cover

 The image on my contents page isn't as stupid or as reckless as the one inside Kerrang's but I wanted to have Tomos as bit of a goofball and not always a serious rocker and so with the inclusion of this photo I hopefully represented that within the page, I also took inspiration from this contents page by having an editor's note and by having the yellow background to make the black text bolder when showing the reader what segments of the article it is but by having no sub-imagery with in the contents page, it doesn't gage the readers quite as much as I wanted to.

The story of the article would appeal to the target audience as it all about an unknown future and what it foretells, relating to the reader that are in the middle of education or have just gotten out of it, worrying about what they will do for the future and with the audience being lovers of the rock genre,it represents them by having a relatable celebrity have an uncertain feeling of whether he wants to continue being famous and going back to normal as though he was like them only in different circumstances
